I just purchased an '07 MCS a few weeks ago with 19K miles, auto, nav, gray/redwood. It is a lot of fun but I think I have developed the death rattle. Has anyone had the tensioner issue repaired at Mini North Scottsdale?
Are you talking about the cold-start issue on the R56?
I know its been addressed in service bulletins. I would call and see if its something covered under warranty, your certainly well within age and mileage.
Yes, that is what I'm referring to. I was wondering if anyone has had this specific issue fixed at Mini N. Scottsdale because I've read some dealers fix it with no problem, and some are a pain about it.
I know I've heard of MNS fixing the issue, yep. I wouldn't think it would be a problem with it being such a known issue on 2007s. Mini of Tempe has also been great for service since they opened up.
My wife's 07 JCW MCS had that issue repaired at MNS. It took 2 times of being told it was something we did to it... Couple weeks later while in Vegas, the issue got real bad ( noisey with knocking now ) They then fixed and later said it is now a known issue... They did do a good job fixing it.. As Dan said, MOT has been doing good work.
