Headers, SES Lights and o2 Simulators

Hi people I am just trying to see how many of you out there have the above problem and how many have the o2 Simulator to stop the light. Or is everyone getting the second o2 Sensor taken out with the MTH Tuners File? All feedback on this would be very welcome

Stephen

I have the OBX header, which like a lot of headers, comes cat-less. I did not want to cut up the stock header or reuse the stock cat, so I decided to go cat-less. I have since added an aftermarket cat because it was too loud and smelly without it. (Not to mention too illegal, especially out here in California).

So knowing I was not going to use a cat originally, I bought an O2 simulator, i think from: www.o2sim.com. I think I just saw MINI Mania is selling them now too. It was a breeze to install, just follow the instructions, takes 2 min, and has worked flawlessly ever since I took out the stock cat. Never had a SES light when I was cat-less, and never had one with the aftermarket cat either.

I run the same OBX header but with the stock cat for longetivity purposes (Aftermarket cats seem to have a higher failure rate). Still running both sensors on the cat, pre and post, no sim needed here. Never triggered an emissions related CEL.

I run a Jet Hot coated OBX header mated to a Magnaflow CAT with both OEM sensors, pre and post.
No CEL's, codes or problems here.
