Which cylinder is the hottest?

I wish there were a poll funtion on this site.

Which cylinder usually goes first? I want to re-locate my EGT probe to get it closer to the exhaust port. Thanks -- Johan

The one which is on the opposite side where the cooling water enters the cylinder head coming from the radiator. I think no 1 (at the left standing in front of the car).
