Try Classic in Ohio (talk to Steve in parts) - they are a sponsor.

Hope that helps!

You don't really need them....

I did the head change without those tools. IT's not that big a deal. Leave the car in gear on the tires to remove/re-install the cam gear bolt. The other thing is for releasing the chain tensioner. I wrapped protective stuff on the handle of a belt tensioner tool to keep it from dinging stuff when I released the tension. If you are near a shop that has the tools, see if they'll lend them or whatever. If you're just doing this once, I wouldn't buy them. If you will be doing it a lot, then you might want to invest. Also, if you're handy in a machine shop you can make the tools pretty easy....

I'll second this sentiment. You can certainly live without these tools. Some folks might feel a LOT more comfortable, however, using the factory tools, and I can't blame them.

But when you reinstall the top pully doesmt it have to be torqued up to 192lbs and so it makes for a tricky job to stop the chain jumping and putting it out of the correct timing setting?do you see what i mean?

Yeah, I do. What I meant to say, and didn't say, was that the basic tools can be fashioned in the garage with some skill. You certainly do need something there to take that torque load!

I don't....

the chain can't jump when it's on the gears. It can't jump on the bottom, and it can't on the top once the gear is on the cam on the index pin. I didn't have a problem with it.

The only worry I had was that the chain moved over on the lower gear, but that appears to not be an issue of the crank doesn't move....

"There is no such thing as a tool you dont need." I think it's some kind of man-law.
