P1125 Code - help?

I had two events last week that caused limp-home mode for a short bit until I could pul over to the curb and restart. Then no problems and ran smoothly.
I rented a OBD2 code reader from a auto parts store and it showed two code events each with P1125 code.
This code wasn't listed in the BMW code lists so I was wondering what it was and how to fix this as I'm planning on driving from the Santa Barbara area to Las Vegas for the AMVIV next week. I don't want to be stuck on the side of the road with this.

A search on this forum showed some "Throttle positioner" issues but not clear.

Thanks,
Paul

I don't have my list handy here but IIRC P1125 is related to the Throttle Body Position Sensor - basically the sensor that feeds back information to the ECU about where the TB butterfly is set. I had some issues with this and P1124 on my '02 MCS, it turned out to be the TB itself -- MINI replaced it with a new one after a week wait for one to be shipped in from Germany.

I see you have the M7 TB, so you've at least disconnected the cable before. I would make sure that the 4-pin cable to the TB is nice and tight (maybe reseat it).

No, no, P1125 is:

P1125
4389
Throttle Position Sensor A and B Range/Performance Small Error
P1126
4390
Throttle Position Sensor A and B Range/Performance Large Error

This is straight from the official MINI list.....

Thanks BBD, I'll try reseating the TB cable and maybe make sure the connections are good.
Where did you get an official MINI code chart? The BMW one does not list a P1125.

What was the fix for this....My friend had the same issue with a customers car and checked everything and found when he took off the throttle pedal and dropped it by accident everything went back to normal.

i just had this code yesterday when i was coming home and pulled over and cycled the key a few times and the EML light went away and the car was fine. I left work today and the eml light came back on so i limped back to work and scanned it and found the same code again...i took the pedal off and gave it a few good taps on the ground and put it back in and drove home fine.
