Pulley size question

I am somewhat confused. Lot's of folks here gush about the performance gains they get with a 15% pulley install. yet other posts have said that the MCS comes stock with a 14.2% pulley. I can't believe that 0.8% can make that much difference.

Have I missed something here?

Only the JCW and the GP have the small pulley from the factory.

The John Cooper Works kit included a 14.x% pulley.

A stock MINI Cooper S has a 10.5PSI pulley on it.

The % represent the reduction from the stock size...

A 15% pulley will get your boost to 14.5 - 15PSI
A 17% pulley = 16.5-17PSI
A 19% pulley = 18-19PSI
