Well i finally got the time to install one of the many new parts for my min this week. First is the Alta 3'' Sport tone exhaust. First off was removal of my current exhuast system a (borla Race System). Next i installed the center section and then the rear section followed. the install went quickly and smoothly without a hitch. i must say fittment was excellent and the finish if this exhuast was like a mirror polish!! too good for underneath the car!! anyway it fit very well with the existing Alta header that was allready in the car.this thing sounds crazy!! i love it!!

Agree about some of these exhausts looking too good for underneath the car. I just put a full titanium system on my car and hate that I can't see it.

 

Are you seeing a big difference in the 3" compared to your old Borla? I want to go 3" but am not sure if I will see any gains at all.

Compared to Borla Race-

You probably will have similar power gains but due to the single vs dual exhaust design you'll be a bit lighter in weight about 8 to 11+ pounds.

Did you weigh it before you installed it??

Do you like the exhaust note??

Does it drone at all under highway speeds??

the exhaust is very light. i didn't weigh it but installed both myself without any help and the Alta was alot easier to install. the tone is very agressive because i have an Alta header too. It seems like my EGT's are up alittle so maybe it is running alittle leaner so flow is less restrictive with this exhaust versus the borla race. i will richen it at WOT with my Apexi SAFII.
