For mildly modified MCS, mostly street & 5-6 track times a year.

I would appreciate some input from first hand experience on the following headers: GT tuning, MTH, Milltek and MM V2.

These are the only four on the list. Kindly advise pro/con, built quality, performance and reliability (not pricing). Thank you.

I've heard of big isssues with the original Militek...they seem to be fixed with the latest generation though. The GT Tuning header seems to have the longest primaries which is one of the selling points of th Stahl header sold by DMH Motorsports.

I know you said only those mentioned, but the Stahl seems like an interesting choice at $800 if you're willing to have someone do some custom exhaust work or if you don't already have a cat-back system and could invest in the entire Stahl system...ideal...?

they will all do the job - I think its just a matter of which vendor / header YOU lean towards.

Kind of high, I need to do more research on this.

Also I have to find out to see if the header is a bolt on with my JCW exhaust (mine is retrofitted from the dealer, not from factory) or need to be modified.

Retrofitted or not, its the same thing.

That price is higher but its the matching component. Quality always has a price

Hmm.. what they said in their website, it is not compatible with the factory fitted JCW exhaust. May be it needs to modify to make it fit.
I will contact them again today for more information.

1740 for a header is absurd. Yes, quality has a price but in this case your mostly just paying for the badge.

Agreed. If you're in for this kind of money, go with the Stahl System.

Sure its absurd ... for a MINI. But you get that cool badge and its probably stamped and who else in the neighborhood is going to have one

How about a little report on how you like that header. Did it help your low end a great deal?
Thanks, Steve
