It looks a lot like the stock one. Outer dimensions are the same. If not, it could not be installed

Heard several comments that the M7 'stat did not fit after all the work to get the stock one removed.... anyone else experience this problem???? This question is all that's holding me back from installing one.

You may want to call Peter and ask him. I remember something a while ago that some were not "cut" correctly.

Hi Guys....

The M7 Thermostat is a direct replacement, that will match up with the OE rubber gasket. We did have a batch mid last year that was improperly cut
and consequently did not fit perfectly. Everyone got the replacement unit promptly. If you live in a cold climate, please use the 180 degree thermostat during the summer months, as the ecu will throw a cel light as soon as temps go below 45degrees.

It is a direct replacement. I reinstalled my stock thermostat, however. with temps below zero in the am for about 5 weeks, the car was not running well and fuel mileage dropped off by about 3-4mpg.

I'm currently using the M7 thermostat and as peter said (it is a direct replacment) and till now there is no problems at all.

all the products I got from M7 (via CMS) fits nicely and easily to my Mini and have high quality finish... this is by no means an advertisement to M7 just my personal openion based on my experience with the products (I live like 100000 miles away from LA )

if the weather in your area is as hot as, or close to, the weather here then GO 4 IT.
