Drivetrain Milltek Exhaust Advice
I just recently added a Milltek Cat-back to my '05 MCSa. I've been loving everything above 3K rpms soooo much better
The system is a great fit and finish IMHO. It hangs a little bit to the left, but I've noticed that for some reason a lot of MINIs do that once you change the exhaust. Plus, its only a little bending really to fix it back to center, but I like mine how it is.
It used to make this clicking sound during mid temps warming up, but that was due to a hanger/hanger contact on the driver side, a 0.5-1 cm bend with a pair of pliers, all fixed.
The sound is there when you want it, pushing the accelerator down for some umph, but on the highway cruising, you wouldn't even be able to tell you changed it. No drone whatsoever.
All in all I love my Milltek and wouldn't have it any other way.
Hope this helps,
-Drew
EDIT:
The lovely burble is even better with every lift of the throttle too.

I think you're thinking of Alta's old tips. They got a lot of complaints and have since changed it methinks.
