when spring rolls around im gonna do an m7 pully and software.

which giac tune would work best for the 16%, it kinda falls between them?

how well does the giac tune work with a head, header, ect..?

my other option is MTH from don but im not sure i will perform all my mods in a year.

thanks
Jonathan

i already have a borla sport and a pro mini intake (i will proably swap out for ddm/m7 or alta)

It did not work on my car at all...... I think that the mods that they have programed for it works great.... I tried to get them to custom tune about 2 years ago and they could not do it.... we uploaded what they had and the car did not run well at all.... they gave me my money back..... it is possible that they have developed some more maps for more highly modded cars..... I would contact Eric at Helix... truly one of the good guys in the Mini business.....he will tell you straight

Extreme mods? Please define because what you have mentioned so far is not extreme for the likes of SpiderX and others.

On another note - see my sig below for mods and you will also see I have the GIAC upgrade. I am very pleased with the overall contribution that GIAC made to my cars performance. You should take a look at a thread "giac ecu upgrade" which tries to cover some of my percieved pros/cons of GIAC and MTH.

At the end of the day either one should get the job done.

For a 16%, I would recommend going with the software for a 15%. The difference between a 15 and a 16% pulley are so minute that it wouldn't make a difference.
