Drivetrain 62 kit on its way to M7 ... Yes it is happening
you should see the finished product..... it really is functional art....
Until you actually install it...
(ie. you don't get many opportunities to see the header when installed on a MINI)
Anyways, good to hear that final pricing will be available in May.

Unfortunately, I must've gotten drunk one night and taken an unintentional vow of poverty
Unfortunately it will already be installed so no pics of it stand alone. I will take some pics of it installed though.
wow... that came out really nice bob... just wow... I am curious to see how much more punch yer car has since I road in it.... should be a good time!
That header...I would buy
See Post #453 Don't know about the grade. Um, Bob?
I am p0lanning a new thread on this soon which will have more detail. these are currently built by hand one at a time by Juston Poole (Custom Metal Concepts -CMC) aka Badhogan on NAM..... if you want one contact Juston 404 625 1882. I believe that DDM is handling these as well as Way. Juston will want to know your mods as he builds different for different cars. CMC is in the process of being a NAM vendor a lot of phone tag but he is committed so no rag there please.
Yep, the header is great. But not just visually.
I used to have the Milltek. Aside from being louder and eating three cats, it made no appreciable difference.
When this header was put on, it was really significant.
As John at LDG predicted (that the tune would benefit from a properly designed header) when he tuned my ECU.
Some MINI owning buddies who are used to quick MINIs were astonished.
That header is ceramic coated inside and out.
Justom made the cat so it can be exhanged without touching the header. Plus a bypass pipe could be installed for a track day.
And he did build it to suit what had been done on my car.
Highly recommend Juston's work.

Having been through no returned calls from another vendor, I know that can be frustrating.
If you continue to try and get no results, please post on this thread.
After the last debacle, I won't recommend anyone who can't be available in some reasonable fashion.
Mine included installation, 300 cell removable Magnaflow cat, ceramic coatings inside and out, and a custom heat shield.
And he built it to spec for my car, so it may vary from that aspect as well.
Anyway, I paid $950.

I should mention that I started out with the 200 cell race cat like SpiderX has.
For my car, it was a tad too loud.
Who would ever have thought of going to anything named Magnaflow to reduce noise?
It still isn't quiet...

Yeah, ummm
the header is great, (seriously), but WHAT ABOUT THE M62 KIT???
This thread has been quiet for so long. Is anybody going to sell this kit, or has the lustre of this mod tarnished? Is it just too cost-prohibitive? Is it not enough return-on-investment, performance gain-wise, to justify production?
Again, I ask, (specifically to the vendors and developers working on this project), WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE M62 KIT?
Any updates/dyno charts/photos/videos would be much appreciated by us salivating mod-heads out here in cyberspace!
Thanks!

Any idea what kind of numbers the American version produces? Did you see a lift in TQ, HP or both. Do you have any before and after numbers?
Longboard
I for some reason think I heard something about the M62 kit, the "Juston" header and a whole bunch of other stuff being "officially released" at MOTD. I have no numbers at this point. I'm one of the idiots who jump into a project on blind faith in the mere idea that something could work purty dang good.
