DSC switch off with 15% pulley

I installed a 15% pulley on my 04 MCS, and was told to switch off the DSC. But I'm not really sure I understand the reason for this suggestion. Can someone enlighten me? Thanks. Rick.

What was the context of the conversation that led to the recommendation? the increased power from the pulley will make wheelspin more likely, and DSC will cut in upon wheelspin and cut engine power.

If you autocross or otherwise race your car, it would be a good idea to turn DSC off to prevent the sudden loss of power when it engages, but the same is true of the stock engine as well.

... or if making a left turn across traffic on a busy road....

In which situation DSC kicking in right in the middle of the road REALLY sucks.
And that happens to me without the pulley...

With the pully it's best to leave it on for day to day "normal" driving. (normal for the generalized vehicle)

If you want to trash some punk in a ricer from the... (reads NAM rules:impatient)...

um..

If you would like to spirtedly accellerate from a red light in a safe and legal manner... then you should definitely turn it off.
