Helix (15% Pulley, Bypass Valve & Milltech)

Just got back from Helix Minisport and would recommend them to anyone needing work done in the NY, NJ and Philly area. Eric and his team are true professionals.

I had the Helix 15% Pulley, Detroit Tuned Bypass Valve and Milltek Exhaust installed. The car has been transformed into a serious beast . The exhaust is perfect for my driving style (Still can't believe how aweome it sounds), the new pully just makes the SC screams and the Detroit Bypass valve seems to have resolved the yoyo effect. Also the Alta CAI whistle is 90% gone but I am not sure if it is from the SC and exhaust being louder or bypass valve. I had a 150 mile ride home and heard the a faint whistle a couple times but it wan't consistant and wasn't at 3000 / 3500 RPM.

Thanks again Helix for the great service.

jeffc,

Can I ask a few questions? I'm thinking of having similar work done. Besides the CAI that it sounds like you already had, do you have any other mods such as ECU? I'm trying to figure out how much change I need to notice a difference in the car. It sounds like you are pleased with the changes. How long did they take to do?

I just can't wait until I scrounge the money for these mods. I'm really itching for them.

No ECU mod and think it took around 2 1/2 - 3 hours (Don't quote me on the exact time didn't really keep track) to do exhaust, detroit bypass valve and pulley.

So prior to today I only had the Alta CAI. From stock to where the car is now is a huge difference. I knew that there would be a difference but just not as drastic the car just scream and sounds really nice.

The M62 is currently in NY waiting for Eric to fabricate a few parts for it. Unfortunately without another trained technician in the shop, and Eric's new baby set to come in early January we don't have an exact time frame right now. Believe me, we want to get this done ASAP.

wow sounds exciting. Reminds me of when I had installed the pulley, CAI and the cpu software done together. The car was completely different afterward. Of course the car already came with the Magna Flow Exhaust.

I am planning/itching to do some more upgrades like the Detriot Bypass Valve, Throttle body, header, H-Injectors and plugs, and of course the most expensive part the LSD.

Does anyone know how much labor or time is envloved in installing the LSD?

Thanks

Just took a day off, went to Helix and have their 15% pulley and Denso plugs installed.
Wow... so much fun to drive. I love it.
Can feel the car start pulling @ as low as 2k. Much easier and more fun to drive.
Thank you Eric and Helix team for an excellent and professional job.
Will see you soon for the GIAC.

You don't have to go to Philly to get the GIAC. It can be had locally.
