Just curious to see if people would be interested in a camera mount for the mini (Or any car with the 2 peg style head rest)? It is a very stirdy design, and worked really well on my 2 autox's so far.

Here is a Video Clip from one Auto X --Video

ALso here is a picture of it in action Picture

Look in my front window, and you will see a metal bar going across, and the camera mounted to it. I am going to experiment with some really cool shots later on and post them to see if people would be interested.

In liew of a harness bar...

Sure, do you have any better pictures?

It's kinda hard to see the bar in the "ACTION SHOT"

Sorry, but just gotta ask what kinda wheels are those. They look like some Yokohama Advan RGs. Or are they knock offs. Sorry for the diversion.

MiniPilo, thanks for the photos. That looks like a solid 6061 Al bar, about .75" to 1.0" square. That should be quite sturdy. Do you mind telling how you attached the bar to the headrest supports?

Next you should set up a camera that rests on the bottom lip of the bumper, in front of the lower grill that can activate via remote - now THAT's an action shot

I am working on something similar to that. I am looking into Cameras as a rear view mirror and some other aplications. Once I have time (2 weeks or so) I am going to start these projects. Hope you enjoy, but for now is there interest in these as a product?
