Another belt question

Just picked up a Helix 19% pulley and have read all of the recommendations re: the Gatorback belt. Should I be concerned that since the Helix is a shoulderless design, the Gatorback might have a tendency to walk off the pulley? The grooved pulley/ belt system would seem safer in this regard, but then you all have experience with these things.

The Goodyear belt will work just fine.

I just put a Gatorback on mine with my 19% install last weekend. The slight whine really emphasizes the supercharged car!!

At first I loved the performance, about 16psi at redline in 2nd, but now I'm only making around 14 psi of boost at redline in the same gear... I'm thinking my bypass valve is failing?

The agressive "teeth like" pattern of the Gator back works well with both groved and smooth pulleys. Even without the shoulder, it still will stick tight.

your belt may have stretched a bit and is slipping a little . i'm seeing alot of type on the 19's slipping tendencies.

So would a shorter belt be appropriate? Or just keep changing them as they grow and start to slip?
Also, if you don't mind, what is the Goodyear# for the 19%?

BTW, thanks all, for the answers.
