Getting off-topic on bracing, but...

It would be very interesting to compare the GTT braces with the M7 USS. Doubtful however that someone would buy both of them, especially since the customer base of the two companies is quite different. I have the M7 and it is fantastic on my cabrio, and its effectiveness has been well documented by buyers. Roland hasn't seen or tried the M7 but expressed doubts about its design and build.
do you mean the bar that M7 do thats about 5 inches further back than ours? If so it IMHO will do next to nothing (single small bolt at each end so a pivoting action can occur up/down and front/rear ,not even clamping directly into the chassis and looks in the pics Ive seen of only small section material) .
Or the one that AFAIK is a frame clamped over the existing centre tunnel brace/exhaust hanger plate.?This one we may do but tbh the existing plate serves the purpose well and is not in a highly stressed area to realy warrant further bracing unless your after the last 1%. (Ok you are )
Best Regards Roland GTT

I have on my car and sell the Ireland Engine Bushings. they are very nicely priced and they fit and function well. you will feel the engine a bit more, but very solid and a must for any tracked car. use one set or add them all. Trans Mount, Lower Engine Mount, Upper engine mount (not needed for 05-06 cars).

Clarification…………..the throttle response is quicker, so one could rightfully say that the acceleration is quicker as well.

Hey there Mr. Detroit Tuned

Seem to recall maximus having busted his OE torque link, and possibly Rye.

Whatever happened to that lower torque link & up'd durometer elastomer? Did you you get one? If so, what if any benefit did you see (relative to this conversation)? AND Are they still produced? I'm thinking if we're increasing durometer stiffness, and placeing struts on the upper mount that lower link may become "the weak one".

Thoughts?

I suggest you install one of my kits. You will be surprised.

The engine does not buck and so you no longer have to wait to shift....and thus you have faster acceleration by being able to shifter quicker than before.

BTW, the OMP lower strut brace reduces NVH from urethane lower engine mounts somewhat.

My theory is that the opposing sides of the engine compartment work against each other when tied together with the bar, and suppress some resonances in the body structure.
