Kinda, New Exhaust

Does any MINI guru out there, know if it would be a propblem, buying a used Militek exhaust? It has 5k mi. on it and I do not know which one it is, or if there is just one. I did not want a slip-fit exhaust, but the price is to good to pass up. It is from FL so no salt or winter driving, but does anyone have any reason i should not put this on my MINI????? Replies, Would Be Much Appreciated....Thank You,Jersh

There shouldn't be any problems with a used Milltek with low mileage like that.

No issues. Ask the owner if they have both sets of the mounting brackets. On the Millteks I have seen installed the 2 inner brackets are bolted on depending on the mounts on the car. The brackets are only needed/helpful if the cars are different years. Such as 02-04 and late 04-06.

Shouldn't be a problem. There are only two types, one for the cooper and the other for the cooper s. good luck

I purchased mine used with about 15k miles on it and its been great. I love it. Some suggestions from my experience:1. Replace all exhaust gaskets with new ones. Your stocker only has one and the Milltek uses two (I used OEM replacement gaskets just because they were the easiest to find at the time)2. Along the same lines, make sure the flanges do not have any build up for the install. Mine needed some grinding, but no big deal. These preventive measures might save you some leakage issues, as I experienced.. The Milltek has a lot of fans in the MINI Community, I'm sure you'll be happy with it.Good luck, and Enjoy!!
