Just thought I'd save you some time by letting you know about a new exhaust system on the market from B&B Performance. It's 859! and only increases 8 hp. What a waste! Might was well go with Borla or other brand that has a better rep.

Hey Vince,
Remember how there are two models of MINI that people on this site own? Is this exhaust of which you speak for the S, as I presume?

I agree that it's on the pricier side, but B&B Triflow has been making good quality exhaust systems for a long time (primarily for the domestic market). They have a good rep, just to clarify.

A friend of mine has a BMW M coupe with a B&B system on it... it was very pricey (nearly a grand) but is very very high quality and sounds great.... They may not make big HP claims but that is a good thing IMHO.... vs fudging your data to make it look better.... Still way out of my price range and I have a reg. MC anyhow....

I spoke to BB exhaust about this system and the sent me dyno "charts." Their largest horsepower gain was due to the stock dyno run not going all the way to redline. The horsepower gain was on average 2-4hp over all RPMS. I'm not sure how I can post the chart here but I'll try and figure it out.

That 9.6 is a bit silly, no? If you want "DTM" tips, they are +$100 USD bringing it to $959!

Looks like it makes about 3.4 whp and 3.4 lb-ft over stock. It actually looks like similar gains to what I saw with the Magnaflow on my car:

Great posts guys & gals.
Whoa! That dyno chart explains even more of a tragic story. ~3 peak hp for $959 + $50 to ship = a little over $1000. Thats's a whopping $334 per hp at the wheel. Might as well throw $$ in the fire.
