2005+ MCS exhaust. any power gains?

My mini is on the way and was curious to know if there was any improvements on the 2005+ exhaust from the factory or is the change just the backfire/pop?

It seems the audible feature is a combination of ecu and exhaust design.

I was thinking about upgrading to milltek but I wanted to make sure I was not wasting money.

And can i sell my 2005 exhaust? is it worth anything?

And here is a milltek clip i found on the web, thought i would share...

I don't think the audible feature is ecu and exhaust because I changed to a ALTA exhaust and it still pops, just sounds better.

Good luck selling yuor stock one.

You can't go by sound clips they never sound like the real thing.

They are generally put up for the taking(free), as once in a while someone will be able to chop it up and use components or do a one-ball with a spare exhaust before removing and passing along their own, some go into storage and many end up in the trash.

The burble on the 05+ systems from the factory were a result of ECU programming only (even more rich) but the MINI has always ran rich in general so even a one ball will produce burble on 02-04 MINIs it just takes a little freeing up.
