So i got the Pipercross viper installed and it comes with a bottle of thick oil.. The bottle instructions are to "apply the oil evenly to the outside of the filter"

My question is, what is the outside of the filter, outside the can, or outside of the interior filter. I know it sounds stupid but i am not sure if the outer portion of the can is actually part of the filter or just a heat sheild..

Any first hand experience would be most appreciated..

Davo

Apply the oil to the foam part of the filter and kinda massage it in.

Make sure you use Viper oil, not just ordinary Snake Oil.

thanks.. I figured it was probably for the inside... Now i have a very shiny filter, because i have been applying the oil to the outside.
