Drivetrain Who has the most HP in their MCS?
Forget the horsepower, but was 13.2 in the 1/4 mile...
That anyone has mentioned it is Tuls with 593.5HP... But now there are others in the mix. As spillman mentioned in his other thread he's Turbo only and shooting for high numbers. There is also someone else with a crazy Turbo only setup with an artwork of a header. Ryephile is Turbo only as well, not sure on his numbers. And isn't Tuls Turbo only now too?
We should start a thread of the Turbo only setups that people have with pictures and videos, of course...
*EDITED* REASON: So the thread won't disappear as others have...

It's only a hot topic because a previously banned member is working on a Turbo setup and God forbid his name or even pics of his car are mentioned on NAM...
Fireball Tim. The M600. 600hp, if I'm not mistaken (likely to be corrected by him or one of his team), and a 1/4 mile in 10.62 secs at 128mph. Don't know about 0-60 time.
Fireballed! M600 Press Release

And a smoke show???? Winner takes all??

BTW, the M600 does NOT have 600hp.. it has 500hp
MSFITOY, haha your car is still widely known on NAM and several people, including myself, consider yours one of their all-time favorites, despite your "low" power numbers lol.

My MC40 was 238 to the wheels. I never tracked the car though so I don't have timeslips for 1/4 mile. Never got a chance to push the car to the limits, still had stock runflats on S-Lites when a youngling ran a light and t-boned me

That's impressive...can you elaborate on your motor mods?
I could say I have "Sid Stage 10" and that wouldn't mean anything to anyone else...

What am I doing wrong then? Is my Webb head/M7 AGS/Miltek header/Unichip/M7 DFIC combination that much inferior? I have everything else and more...maybe I should dyno my MINI...
Water to air intercoolers have yielded very high gains when compared to a top mount.
There's a long standing debate, and I'm really not sure what to say. Numbers don't mean anything to me, it's all about the fun factor of the car. It was dynoed once it was completed by the previous owner (I picked up the car after the previous owner had dumped way too much money fixing it up). Most of the people that are running similar mods (You, SpiderX, etc) report not being able to break about 210 whp. Only differences I can see are the water to air IC and the Twin Sequencial exhaust, which I don't know much about other than it was way to freakin loud. Gitani has tested many cars and they're reportedly breaking 250 whp right now after making some head modifications with custom software and their water to air IC. Also, I'd like to comment that for every day driving the big valve cylinder head wasn't the best choice. I would have rather had a port and polished head and called it a day. The big valve head moved the power band up top a little too far. The dyno charts are a little deceving. The car had no more of a bottom end than a stock Cooper S, most of the power was made up higher in the RPM range (basically useless on the street unless you drive around at redline).
Probably most of the gains seen with the water to air have to do with the fact that it doesn't heat soak as easily (Heat soak happens pretty quick on a dyno with a teeny fan blowing air over your DFIC). I'd say it had to do with having a strong engine from the factory, 15 HP or so from the IC, and another 10 HP or so from the Exhaust. Other than that I don't know what could have helped. The big Valve head probably didn't hurt. Great for high peak HP numbers, but like I said, kinda kills your low end.
