Anyone care to speculate how difficult it would be to put some of these tips on a Quicksilver? Welding aside, the problem I see is that there is not much room to fit the deeper ones because the exhaust bends right where the "stock" Quicksilver tip begins. These tips are 9" to 12" long. The length that we have to work with on the QS is about 7". Some creative welding might make it work.

These are made by Magnaflow. (I know it's funny trying to put a Magnaflow tip on the QS).

Check over on the Performance Mod Section, and do a search for NRP. I think that Minni Mania may be selling it. Also randy will be doing some testing of it as well

I've found them for sale for $40-57. Here's a website that sells them: http://shop.ivalueinternet.com/bigex...uct_id/983.htm

I'm not really sure, but I would guess they would not affect power at all. It looks to me like the have to be welded on.

Owen, do you already have the Quicksilver? Reason I ask is that we are getting ready to offer the Quicksilver with 3 different tips: dual oval, dual round and DTM. This was last time I was picking George's brain from Madness. I'll see if the tips we are getting could be retrofit via weld. The new Quicksilvers should have the ability to change the tips with some set screws, or at least that is the hope. Will post all details after I speak with George today (he's on his way back from FL watching the Grand Am Cup race).

Yes, I already have one. I would be willing to invest in a new tip if there was one that was guaranteed to fit. I don't have any problems with dismantling the oval tip to fit a new tip with set screws (as log as they are secure). Do you plan to offer the tips separately? I would be interested in either dual round or DTM. Look forward to details.

New tips for the QS system have been on the plan sheet for some time now, so it shouldn't be long before they are available.

Owen, since you already have yours, I'd be happy to help you out with a new tip - We could cut and weld or slip and clamp.

Feel free to give me a call.

That would be awesome, Randy. I'd prefer a weld-job. If it's too big a pain, clamping is fine. Once the new tips are available I will give you a call.

I recently put a pair of 3.5" tips on my S. They look really good but...I now have a loud rushing noise from the back of the car at about 5 to 6k. the tips are rolled in and this is probably the noise, and it seems that I have lost top speed...the car stops pulling with power at 130mph! Is it possible that I have indeed lost power because of the change of tips?? Doesnt really matter too much as I just ordered the Magnaflow from Randy..Can't wait to enjoy!!

Have a GREAT day!!

Did you get a chance to speak to George?

my friend in the area recently got the new QS tips from George and kindly gave me his old muffler and tip!!! this morning we went to magic muffler and easily welded the tip and muffler to the down pipe on the Cooper and it turned out just great! the only question, is the quicksilver supposed to intensely vibrate?? i dont know if it is supposed to do this... anyone??

also, does anyone have info on the new QS tips (besides the ones ive seen), even though i kind of like the orignal tip because it is unique to the S....
