Where are said pressure relief ports? Does the Gatorback make that much of a difference?

The two smaller triangles on each side of the main exit port are the ones I was referring to. The way I understand it they allow some air to exit ahead of the main swept air packet which gets slapped against the stacked air volume in the output duct; the early release lessens the pressure differential and decreases the noise impact.

so considering i already have an intake, should i just get a 15% pulley and a Gatorback belt, and then i can expect to hear a sound increase?
