BTW.

Does anyone have the dimensions of the finished cat pipe piece that is bolted between the OBX header and the exhaust?

I want to have a testpipe prefabricated so I can install at home.

From the looks of the 2 pipes I've had made for my Megan-to-Milltek, it would be almost impossible to "spec" the pipe section: it's a *very* 3-dimensional piece. I think the easiest and probably only way to get it right is to tack weld the piece in situ.

Sorry, and cheers,

Damn! thanks anyway!

It'll almost be cheaper to buy the supersprint test pipe that will likely fit than it is to take it to a muffler shop and have one made....

Problem is, i can't find anyone in the states who carries that piece of the supersprint system.

Anyone know where to find it?

MiniRacer1,
Did you get it installed okay? I'd love to hear how everything went. Do you still have any questions?

yakimini,

i still havent had the time to install the parts, but it is laying in the trunk of my car (cat and header in the box) so when i have time ill have somebody install it...

one mechanic is asking 60 - 75 euro for the install ( not exactly cheap is it ? )

another friend mechanic would ask 10 euro per hour, and he does not have a lift ?

the first one is a bmw-mini mechanic the second one has his engeneering degree in car mechanics...

probably i would just go with the bmw dealer . When everything is installed i will let u now...

ill try posting pics of the install...]

$100 to install header and catback? sounds like a steal to me! go for it today before he figures out how many hours he'll be messing with it.
good luck,

I paid 200 bucks to get the header installed plus 50 bucks to have the cat SS welded on. 100 bucks - jump on it.
