MyMini exhaust or blowing through a straw

I'm probably shooting myself in the foot here but here goes.

I bought a used MyMini exhaust on a whim (I'm dumb that way sometimes). I decided to install it today because my one-ball conversion was rattling. I think I actually lost some power at the top end. And it sounds like the '74 Olds I had with a rocket 350 and single exhaust - like it's blowing through a straw and going to shoot the exhaust off the back.

Anyone else have this exhuast? Do you run your car to 6K plus and notice the rushing/swooshing noise?

Anyone want to buy it?

All single sided systems sound this way, and it is a matter of backpressure. The Alta, Dinan, MyMini, Quicksilver and I'm sure a couple I am forgetting have similar sound because of the single flow route.

Hope that helps!

One-ball is single sided, I never noticed this sound before. Like you said backpressure TOO much is my guess.

What about hp numbers have you ever tried the MyMini exhaust, I know you test many.

P.S. do you keep stats on how many people fill up the shopping cart on your site but don't buy, I just finished doing a dream build of head, intake runners header and exhaust, the total brought a small trear to my eye. Someday...

I've seen and heard the MyMini exhaust and besides being nicely made; I thought it had a nice sound to it - not too much but still present.

MyMini had done a dyno day and the system produced 3-5 hp.

say you bought it used? perhaps it was submarined or something.

My Quicksilver does this when I kick in the boost. Just putting around town its fine, but when you get on it hard,I can hear what you are speaking of. Doesnt bother me any.
