i am think of getting a 2007 MCS with the LSD. i just read the top gear october 2006 review of the mcs. there was a line in the article about the LSD reducing the steering feel.
is this comment true? significant?

I seem to notice an improvement of the "torque steer" factor. It doesn't want to pull as hard in one direction or jerk when I hit the gas in a turn, just pulls it cleaner in the direction I am headed in. That's my story and I am sticking with it.
well, no one has bought one yet, but the LSD is a thing to have if you have the cash for it.
someone broke it down to me straight and so I ordered.
1. During tight turns you wont spin tires with astc/dsc off
2. Your astc will not activate as soon (if its turned on) as the wheels will be rotating less wildly/uselessly.
3. in the snow and mud, your car has 2 wheel drive vs 1. the astc does its job here though and allows the car to grip, but 2 wheels doing the same thing at once is super cool. This is one that made it a definite purchase for me. I have been in bad weather before and had to wait for the car to stop baking one wheel and let the other one grab a little. By the time that happened, the snow and ice melted to a block under the car (80's camaro, v6, 5speed), and it was rendered useless. true the astc would have helped out immensely, but the 2 wheels pulling from moment 1 would have solved the issue without the traction control existing.
the other performance reasons are nice and all but the above I mentioned are things that will be noticable for more regular drivers like myself.
I wouldnt consider not getting it if I had the extra cash for it regardless of "feel" issues.

did you test drive a non LSD car?
understand and agree with the benefits of the LSD - just evaluating if LSD really changes the steering feel that much...

LSD is not available for the MC from the factory. If you get an aftermarket LSD (very expensive), it will give the same benefits as for an S.
