menu of performance upgrades on 's'

ok- so if one were to forgo the JCW kit on a new 's', what are the best mods to add, to raise hp to 200-210. I have a madness header already. which air intakes are currently the hot set-up, which pulley (& what % reduction), which cat-back system is best (anybody tried a larini?), which brakes are best & what should you do w/ the ecu? I think the JCW gives little value at trade time- so why spend the money?

First of all, The JCW gives that HP at the crank, not the wheels. To get to that level with bolt on mods, you would only need to use a 15% pully, Alta CAI, Catback exhaust and an MTH tune....

Also, why do you have a header on a car with so few mods?

I don't usually post things like this and leave it to the others. However there is a first time for everything.

All the information you are asking here is on this forum already. Most of it has been here since late 03'. So poke around a bit, look back through the first 15 pages of threads before you go to bed or when bored at work, and then come back and revisit your question if you haven't found what you are looking for.

happy hunting

I was not clear- I currently have a 03 JCW 's', w/ madness header on (which I will probably remove & replace w/ stock header) that I am considering trading in (or selling myself). the mini dealers tell me'the JCW is not worth very much ' - so why spend the big bucks when it is worth very little more than a non JCW 's'.

No mods are worth much of anything for reselling ... money thrown to the wind.
