No mention of a remapped ECU...NEW super charger, NOT a pulley?

Thanks for your mail and sorry for the delay in our reply
Yes the replaced head is ported and polished and no the compression ratio remains the same on trhe S
The camshaft is also the same however the supercharger is the fifth generation with teflon fins and a faster pulley

For full details please see our website http://www.johncooper.co.uk

Best regards

Good Day,
I am first on the list for the JCW S upgrade at my local dealer. I have read all the information I can find and I still have some questions.
Is the replacement head ported polished? Is the compression ratio changed? Do you use the standard camshaft or is that changed?
I know that the supercharger is replaced. Is the only difference pulley size or is there something different about the supercharger itself?
Any other information that you can share would be helpful. Thanks for the help.
Kindest Regards,
Ric

Sounds like a fancy way of saying they just changed the pulley!

Thanks again,

Yes the supercharger does have a smaller pulley to speed it up and also has Teflon blades to make even more efficient.

The cylinder head is changed for a gas flowed polished and ported head
however the cam and valves remain the same.

A full brochure will be available from your dealer in early May but I hope
this helps

Best regards

JCW

Randy ,
Looks like they are on to us, you got no more information that I did.
They are getting 200HP with a pulley, exhaust, filter and p&ped head. They say they are doing something to
the ECU but it can"t be much otherwise they would be at least 220+HP. Looks like lots of room to play.
Regards,
MOTOR'N

It looks like the ECU's main change was to move the redline up.
