OK, I know they just put this up on their site today. What do you all think of this?

I think the description mentions that you can leave the stock dust cover or use the one that comes with the kit.

Owen, the stock dust cover can be 'left off' as an alternative to modifying it. The shifter box area is well protected from the elements via the heat shield that runs the length of the center tunnel. Some have chosen to leave the cover off. (The stock dust cover is not 100% sealed from the elements, it is simply a 'clip on' piece.)
Our dust cover attaches to the stock cover after some trimming - this is necessary to accommodate the increased length of the shifter rod and the resulting greater throw. For those concerned about weatherproofing the box, we include a tube of silicone sealant to finish the job.

For the same **** movement with the alta, you would need to modify the box, if you want to stay at around 10% less, then the alta doesn't need to be modified, but to get a real short shift, you need to modify the cover with the alta as well

Thanks for the clarification, Ken. Guess I needed to re-read the description.
