So Bob, are you actually gonna get the car in time to make the Nashville trip?

Seems like the time frame is kinda tight, if they're gonna do any thorough testing/adjusting/pulley selection, etc...

After five weeks, I'm sure you don't wanta hear that question.

But it will be tight, or so it appears.

We're all pulling for ya!

Very nice! I like your mod combo... Looks great.. Did you do the work yourself? Would like to hear the level of difficulty for a job like this...

Enjoy!

Steve told me it is some type of experimental thermal coating that m7 is planning on offering as a finish.

You're talking about the dispersant coating on the DFIC - I already have that coating on mine. I'm asking about what he used to finish his diverter to give it the same appearance as the DFIC.

I saw yours at Harrison. Don't know if it's better, but I wish I had it on mine.

Mine is the chrome.

I love the black - more bang, less bling.

As part of his business, Steve will customize any parts the way you want them. I don;t know what he used, but I imagine it was just a black primer with a couple coats of clear....

I was in a hurry so I used some 20 year old rustoleum I had sitting on a shelf. It actually matched perfectly, but I doubt I could find it in the stores now.

I've done all my own mechanical work since I was about 14. I got tired of seeing my parents' cars come back from the shop worse off than when they went in so I figured out how to do it myself. The head install is not really that difficult, but it's a PITA because you have to removes so much stuff to get to it. The DFIC is an easy install, but I recommend new boots or silicone. I did Mini Fini's at Monterey and it came off by Santa Barbara, but his car has over 50K and the boots were pretty much finished. The boots get squashed by the clamps over time and reclamping them doesn't cause them to get a good grip. Amarillo, TX today.

Butt is fine, the time zone changes are not. We get up at 6:00 am every morning and it now 4:00 am, CA time. We get to spend a few days in Central now. See you Sunday. So you are bringing boots with you, of course. Pink should be a hot item.
