Drivetrain T minus 48 hours to pulley change
Anyone who has done this have any regrets or problems?
Does anyone know of a case where an engine has blown or the dealer wouldn't even cover something residual such as a radio repair?
Anyone care to try and talk me out of it?

>>At least that's what my dealer here in Holland tell's me

Yep, I'm aware of that. If I break my car I won't change the pulley back and try to have the dealer do it like that guy on the Subaru forum who got OWN3D.

I would not have the ***** to just do the pulley instal when i'm aware of that my warranty is in danger
By my info (don't know if it is correct) Because of a smaller pulley it makes more turns and more turns means more heat and more heat is not very good for your car.
But hey that is what my info is maybe you have got some other info that i don't know so let me know what your info is maybe i'll get the same ***** as you
One option may be the purchase of an aftermarket warranty (one that does not specifically indicate the warranty is void upon the installation of aftermarket parts or the voiding of the original manufacturer's warranty). They may balk at payment of a claim saying you voided their warranty but without specific language... Also, upon first signing up for the warranty, your manufact warranty must be intact (so it must be purchased prior to installation of the pulley).

Ok so I'm a junkie as I'm on vacation in Arizona with the family unit and using the inlaws computer to get my fix of MCO!
Speaking purely with selfish motivation, I think you should do it!
I don't have the "huevos" (yet) to do it and seeing that you live in Madison and I'm just outside of Milw. would love to see first hand how much of a change it makes.
Looking forward to your experience , wisdom and feedback.
I'm also hoping to perhaps invite myself to "Mad Town" and check out your ride with the pulley mod!
Where are you having it done? Are you doing it yourself? Please share all details.

Having dealt with turbo lag, I was immensely relieved when they decided to supercharge the S, not turbocharge it. My car (Saab 9-3) doesn't really GO until 3000 RPM, below that I think it has maybe 80 hp! From what I've heard the pulley gives it way more pep between 1500 and 2500 RPM... this is awesome. HUGE. I almost got killed by my turbo lag - it took so long for my car to kick in the turbo I almost didn't get out of the way of a drunk in a minivan.
Can't wait to hear what you have to say.

Because the MINI engine is so small, even with the supercharger there is not much torque available below 3000 RPMs. But with the pulley, well that all changes. Now you can even dip below 30mph and keep it in 3rd! You won't blow anyone away at that speed and gear but it is certainly driveable. The pulley changes everyday driving to the same degree as putting a larger engine in. I think only a good ECU upgrade could compete although the pulley should still be better. Most other mods only help at full throttle and aren't noticeable in everyday driving.
