YIPES!
That's on the order of downright heart breaking!

What's a guy supposed to do now?

So, MSFITOY, where do you park, say around midnight?

I was told that if you ordered the CF scoop during the first production run of DFIC's, you will get a CF scoop. If you ordered today, it is no longer available in CF.

I ordered mine with a CF scoop along time ago. And I have been told not to worry. I'm getting CF. I have been promised that mine will be able for me to pick up next week. I can't wait.

Called road side service and they flat bedded the car to the dealer.

I don't think Matt will approve of IC testing from the back of a flatbed .

So here I sit with no car ( sigh) !

All the lights that went on is due to your electrical problems, either the alternator or the grounding wire. DSC, ABS, Tire Pressure, Handbrake, Battery, etc, etc.

here's the end of the story - so the car is flatbedded on Friday and I get a call from the dealer around 3pm on Saturday saying "come pick-up your car".
He informed me that the the altenator and battery were bad. He informed me that both were replaced under warranty and that the performed the 20,000 mile service. I was shocked figuring that my mods would put me outside of any warranty considerations.

So I left the dealer with my wallet intact . Lots of stop and go traffic in the Florida heat but I took the long way home to get to some open road. Here in Florida, I find the car runs differently all the time do to the heat.

My SOP experience so far with the DFIC is that the car has never pulled better .

Bear in mind that I am coming off of another aftermarket IC which I felt an improvement with over the stock IC. I'm getting the same experience from the DFIC over the aftermarket IC.

Hopefully, I can play more today and breakout the Gtech.

PS - My exhaust announces the cars arrival at the service pick-up area. The service guys come out and want to see the car so the hood is popped. They are all over the DFIC - having never seen anything like it.

Looks wonderful, cant wait for the G-tech #s. As it was said before, The DFIC looks like a piece of art.

IMHO, I like the white scoop w/ your white mirror covers.

Want to sell the other Aftermarket IC?

Looking forward to more feedback, and the GTech numbers! I've got the same aftermarket i/c as you (GTT), but I've never installed it, so I hope to see the same overall improvement you've noted (from factory to GTT to DFIC) when when my DFIC arrives (got both the ceramic and dispersant coatings). Fun times!

I thought I heard that there was a CD included. Maybe I'm thinking of something else though...

Is there a seal between the DFIC and underside of the hood?

If so, pictures please.

There is included a foam strip about 1 inch square and the width of the DFIC which mounts to the underside of the hood .

I had an opportunity to romp the car yesterday afternoon. I did some Gtech runs but don't see any meaningful way to present numbers/comparison. I think from a numbers perspective, we need to wait for Matt that has the equipment.

The car felt equally crisp from first run to the last (did about 10 HP/TQ pulls). Then I went to the highway and ran hard from 55-90 mph and it felt great.

Boost - I had installed a boost guage and originally it showed 14.5 lbs (between 14-15lbs) which is right for a 15 pulley. I have noticed over time that it seems to have lost 0.5lbs of boost and yesterday if showed 13lbs. This always brings into question if I have a small leak or is it that the guage is just off? I'm guage suspect because the car is pulling so well.

anyone with a DFIC and boost guage ? your findings?

The lower boost reading is probably a result of lower exit air temps from the DFIC, which is good. More cooling = smaller vol of air = lower pressure. The SC runs more efficiently because the delta P is lower. I suppose the lower boost (as measured upstream of the IC) also could be due to a lower pressure drop (i.e., less flow restriction) across the DFIC vs. the previous IC.
