So, I installed a Pilo intake...

I picked it up used from a NAM member, cleaned it, and installed it. The installation was easy enough, except for dropping a screwdriver through the engine area and onto the skidplate...

Maybe I'm just imaging things, but the car really feels stronger. And now I can really hear the supercharger sing!

Please tell me that I don't need to worry about water getting to the filter. I feel like I need to add something to it to ensure there is a better seal.

This kit uses a very popular design.
No cars have died, that I know of, in the 3+ years it's been in production so I really don't think there's an issue.

I've ran a Pilo since 03 on two different MINI's. Not once did water get in. Even when washing the car and having water pour through the cowl grills. The latest MINI. I had a hole cut in the rear partition opening the intake up to more air from the cowl grill.

I wouldn't worry.
