Placing Alta SC Pulley

I read somewhere that it is easy to install the Alta SC Pulley. Is this something that I can do in my garage? I don't have the ability to lift the engine, is it necessary? Any tips from those that have done this on their own would be greatly appreciated.

The 1-3 hours the guide quotes is a bit optimistic if you have never done it before! When I did mine, it took over 4 hours. I had another person helping me and we have both observed the proceedure several times before when the guys from Alta have installed them. It could have been about an hour less, but for some reason my pulley REALLY didn't want to come off! We had to take the puller off and apply anti-sieze to the main bolt and try again.

install

Lifting the motor is a must to clear the pulley. You really need to have all the proper tools. Don't even try if you're not 100% comfortable or it could cause more damage.
