***Help with HAI!!!***

I am installing my HAI right now by mounting the filter directly to the throttle body. But, I just cant get the host clamp tight! I cant position it so I cant get a screw driver, or a socket or anything in there! How did you do it?

I position on the clamp

facing forward, on the side near the BP valve, then use a long screwdriver through the hole that used to be filled with some of the stock intake.

Also, you have to make sure the clamp is down low, otherwise it squeezes above the edge of the TB, and will pop off. PM me your email address, and I'll send you some photos. (I"m running out of room in my galary!).

I think that the fact that mine is an automatic is a factor. I just dont think that it is going to work...

I have a blue rubber thing that came with my other intake. Its about 4 inches long, and fits. Its like an extender. I can use that but do you think that it might melt?

The air going through is cold. IF it didn't melt with stock, then it shouldn't melt with HAI. If you can, send me photos, and I'll see if anything occurs to me.

Do I even need that "mini" filter there? Can I just leave the hose?

I would love to see what problems you might be having related to the Automatic. Maybe help out others.

i think he's referring to the PCV hose. It mostly just ventilates air, but in the odd case that there is some vacuum, you should buy a little filter. i saw one on ebay.
