Drivetrain Webb Motorsports Sponsorship Drive
I hope our $50 Sponsor Support check will cover food for the family? It should be arriving soon and it IS in the mail as of last Thursday. Go Webb Family!!! Lou, Tammy and Michaela Cantu. ( A proud past Webb Motorsports Pulley Party Place Pit Stop. ) I ran out of P's.
Confirmed that the race will be mid afternoon both days. No time at this point because it has to mesh with the DE schedule. Spectators can come and do lunch time parade laps. Spectator fee is $25.
So did Steve make any changes to his car?
We are switching to Hoosiers for Randys car, and added a prototype aero attachment that we had our new exhaust manufacturer fab for us. Other than that, its the same car.
I was hoping to get a Gintani water/air on my car by this weekend, but it looks like that may have to hold off till the Summit event. So other than some lightening, #92 is the same.

Yeah we've been working hard on some special bits for Steve that should work well in ST. Louie and Summit, we'll see.
We also crave more participation in the MINI series, unfortunatly it seem's like we and other's here are the only ones yapping about it! I really wish MINI USA, Wicks, MC2 and even NAM would get more on the promotion bandwagon, wishful thinking....

I would like to see more private participation though... It seems to me that most people don’t feel they have the recourses needed to be competitive, which is not true. Take Waylen for example. Yes he is a vendor, but he still drives his car to each event, and has spent a fraction of what Randy, Steve or Caelin has spent to race. And if you look at the current standings, he is leading overall in points!
I can see how people don’t think they can compete in Unlimited or maybe even in 210hp, but why aren’t there anymore in stock Cooper S? Or stock Cooper for that matter? Throw in a role bar, get a fire extinguisher, wire a cut-off switch, and go racing!
Phil is trying to make this appealing and accessible to the everyday enthusiast. Can you tell me any other organization that allows a total stranger to race after a few hours of practice, supervision, and approval? Take Phil (DS car with the Webb Front mount, not Wicks) for example. He has no racing history. The guy just loves driving fast, and has the ability to be safe on the track. He participated in both the Laguna Seca Event and the Las Vegas event and loved it. A perfect example of what the series is meant for.
It takes thousands of dollars just to get a rookie license in SCCA, while you can spend $450 with Phil and show up and race that day! So all you people on the fence, take the plunge and sign up! I will see you at Summit point

Webb Motorsports won't get any money from me for sponsorship until they can prove to me they know how to run their mail order business! Weeks of waiting and numerous promises with no delivery for a part I need to install for a two day run around the Ring in Gemrany.
Randy, running an internet mail order business is quite a different operation than running a race/development team I know I have been doing this for 8 years now. You need to decide what you love to do the most which seems to be the race/development side of things and get someone to take over the internet sales business that has the experience and knows what they are doing. You do nothing but disappoint your customers and yourself while ruining your reputation when promises are not kept. Financing inventory in order to ship orders in a timely manner is a science when it is done well. You need to get some good business advice, ask your banker or account for recommendations or better yet go to your local SBA (Small Business Association) they can get you pointed in the right direction and their advice is free! Now, where is my WMS stick shift?

But I have to be nice, otherwise I will get fondled again by the mods.
/bump for the missing stick shift!
Anymore donations?, just send what you have to "Feed The Mule" foundation. In fact if you can't send money, just spend it on fuel and DRIVE UP TO ST. LOUIS to watch Webb vs THE REST battle it out wooohooo. Support the brave, the few, the NAMCC racers.
The Webb Mule has had a few things added to it, and so has Steve Diniz's monster MINI. This will be a real showdown. Anyone else out there think their MINI will pwn, head to St. Lous NOW, DO it Do it Do it Do it Do it Do it Just Do it.
The races this weekend should not be missed, whether you're a racer or spectator. People with video, please get as much as you can for the poor West Coasters like myself.
GOD SAVE THE MULE!! LONG LIVE THE MULE!! FOR MULE AND COUNTRY!! WOOOOHOOOO. TALLY MULE!!

You have a PM.

I am having Todd Pearson from Whiteroof radio do the graphics for the cars. I have had a few people send me requests of what they would like. For those of you who have not specified, I will print your online name in MINI font in black(#92) and white(#93). I made the decision of including ALL donations on the cars. The bigger ones will of coarse get more room, but I feel that the smaller ones deserve credit too. So if you would like something different displayed, let me know ASAP. E-mail me (Brian@webbmotorsports.com). If you have e-mailed Randy concerning the sponorship, I am going to have to ask you to forward that to me as I am taking care of the whole thing.
Thank you all again for this kind gesture!

Seeing as this is the sponsorship drive thread for randys car I was wondering how much you were planning on contributing ?

Where did you hear that it takes thousands os $$$ to get a SCCA license? I took the three day course back in Feb. of 2004 at Roebling road, cost $350.00. All you need is a car with transponder and required safety equipment. I also got got my BMWCCA license that same year, cost approx. $100.00. Your car could run in J-Sock or J-Prepared.
See You in St. Louis.
Regards,
Steve Diniz
I am more excited about this race than the F1 Grand Prix I'm going to next month!!
You East Coasters are SO lucky.
. I urge all you MINI owners to head to St. Louis this weekend and support these guys, these MINI Racers.
