InMOTION ECU PERFORMANCE UPGRADE ?

Has anybody ever use InMotion ECU upgrade for the MCS? If so what kind of gains do you get off it?

On their site they show numbers on what to expect, a stock MCS is 170hp and after installing the InMotion ecu upgrade there claiming 212! Thats 42hp increase.

There is no way an ECU can give you 42 hp.

Regardless of claims.

Never heard of this ecu upgrade. Is it a flash or a piggy-back ecu?

lol. to get 212 bhp, u need (in addition to the remap) a pulley and intake, and maybe u'll reach 212. If you have a good car to start with. 200bhp is more realistic tho.

Yeah that is pretty far fetched, I emailed them back and forth to make sure of what they were claiming and they still claim these gains. InMotionusa.com

Presumptuous Speculation = PS and the Newton is a Nabisco product & I like um. So the PS can be what ever you want & while doing so you can enjoy your newtons...Wow it just doesen't get better than that....

OK, so I finally yield something out of a search, but really only one bad experience. This thread is old, so I'll ask again.

Has anyone done a ECU mod with Inmotion on a non "S" Mini Cooper. Who has had a good experience with a MC ECU mod, and with whom did you do it?

I don't know why enthusiasts on these boards continue to take vendors' claims for granted.

Haven't we all read enough threads by now that indicate that the aftermarket (by and large, though with exceptions) is more than generous in describing their products' capabilities?
