Randy / WebbMotorsports does it without removing the SC from the engine; he sort of jacks the engine up on its mounts:

The techs at MINI of Peabody always remove the SC, and voice concern about possible damage doing the install this way - but I've never heard of a problem resulting from the way Randy does the install.

Did you get yours done by MINIPeabody? What kind of and what reduction percentage pulleys will they install? The don't seem to mention it on their "Peabody Mini Sports" page. I've never gotten a pulley because of concern for the warranty for which I paid big money.

GBMINI#3 is still stock, and GBMINI#2 had the pulley as part of the complete JCW upgrade.

Actually, maybe you'd like to risk $25 on the chance to win a JCW upgrade - see the MINIsOnTop raffle page:

MINI of Peabody used to offer an aftermarket pulley (Alta I think), but my interpretation of their warranty position was that they couldn't protect you from MINI USA refusing warranty, if the engine was damaged after fitting the aftermarket pulley.
