Webb Motorsports Input

I'd like to have a spot for some input here on NAM. I would love all input, good and constructively bad. We are taking any input very seriously, and are revamping our business to reflect them.

Take a look here for our own forum input area, but feel free to post here as well.

Also, take a look at our new Vendor Announcement which explains some of the new philosphoy we have started working on here.

Thanks for your help, and we look forward to remaining the best MINI tuning and supply facility in the world! We only want to further that.

Randy

I think it's really good that you guys have decided to cut out the pulley parties and some of the activities that ate alot of your time. You can spend more time with developing products and making money. I look forward to what your newfound time produces in term of MINI products. One question though, if you guys are selling your racing MINI, what will you guys be testing your products on?

We have Brian continuing racing, which is an in house, employee owned car. James, who is also an employee, also has an S. We also have two other volunteered "test" cars from locals, who also help with the shop sometimes.

I really need to sell the Mule to get the cash for the '07 development. I haven't used that car for real development for some time anyway, as it is too far from what most have in their driveway.

Thanks!
Randy

I just love that thinking. Just keep that same frame of mind when developing products. It's easier for my to justify to my fiance spending $200 ten times than it is for me to convince her to spend $2000 one time.

Boy, am I ever glad I got to meet you last November, and pick your brain while you installed a pulley on my car at the Lewiston NY pulley party. My MCS and I feel honored that we were able to meet you.

I think you've made the correct decision for your business, for you, for your family and for your own sanity! I didn't know how you handled the logistics and stress involved in organizing all those pulley parties. If your new product announcements are any indication of the direction of your new focus, all us MINI gearheads are going to be very lucky, indeed!

Thanks for everything, and good luck to Webb Motorsports in the future. Keep us informed on your new products!!!

Good news...bad news

Glad you made the decision Randy. I know you have been considering this for a while now.
Good for you and the business.

Bad for me and many others that won't get to tap you for free knowledge.

Customer input #1

Regarding our valve cover plaque and your potential other badging, include them with large orders or when customers pass a particular expenditure level.

Say maybe $2K plus.

This of course makes me eligible for one

Seriously though. Consider it.

Don't mean to be a **** but my only suggestion would be to answer your phone! I know you guys are super busy as your new (and badass) products reflect...but impatient ****'s such as myself can only leave so many messages before we give up and buy someone elses products.

Incidently I've always wanted to point out the fact that I admire you guys. you seem to be the one vendor that never really gets into these "little tifs" online like a few of these other vendors do...cudo's to that.

Seriously though pick up your damn phone....

....and keep up the good work!

Seann,

Call tomorrow - we only have one phone with two lines, and they certainly get full often.

I am working on multiple lines, but the building doesn't support it without spending mucho bucks.

Thanks!

To piggy back that, when i was looking at Tuning options i thought about the Unichip, but i couldnt get ahold of you all, and never got a return call from a voice mail. Maybe later on with a head or something.

webb motorsports

Randy - The right decision for all the above mentioned reasons. NO ONE has put the effort out to the MINI community like Webb Motorsports. My family for one has enjoyed the contact with ALL employees at Webb Motorsports...even Brian! Just kidding. Your loyalty will translate to our loyalty when it comes to MINI purchases...Coupons or no coupons. Anything you require in the future in the Chi-Town area ?? Please call if you do! We will be ordering some parts soon and are planning a trip to Co. Springs this summer. I hope others will keep this in mind when comparison shopping...not always is the Wal-Mart approach the best. Thanks again!!

Looks like your making some good, but hard decisions. Keep up the good work, stay home for a change, enjoy your kids.... they are getting big fast .

Kinda sad to see the Mule has to go . Its been fun watching it develop over the years.

Congratulations on the new, focused business direction. It's been a pleasure seeing you and watching you work your magic on the MINI (both from the driver's seat and under the bonnet.)
As a *gasp* mostly stock MINI owner, I look forward to installing some WMS products in the future.
Best of luck going forward! See you at the end of May!

Wow, after talking with you at the machine shop during our pulley party I know how much motorsports has been a part of your life and what an incredibly tough decision this must have been. As Friend and fan it is sad day, but as a customer I applaud your forsight into the future and what it is going to take to take your business to the next level. We will all keep supporting Brian and his budding racing career, but best of all, we will all get to take advantage of the New Webb Motorsports. Thanks Randy.

Update "How-Tos"

Randy,
A good start would be to update the directions on how to install your recent products. At least one "How - To" does not correctly reflect your current product(ie SC pulley upgrade). This caused me much confusion as to the correct placement of the pulley on the shaft and resulted in having to reaccomplish the same task. Also promptly returned phone calls are essential. Otherwis great products and I look forward to doing business with you in the future.

I would agree, your "How Too's" are great. For those of us who do our own installs, or are not located near a tuner they are priceless. Almost all of my installs I used your how too's. An update for your extreme sway bar would be cool. At least a added section on what % each mark is on the adjustment.

I think everything for WMS is in place. There is just one small thing needing correction. That is getting back to people with an email, phone call or something.

I agree. I learn alot from them, and i appreciate what they are donig for the community. I have been in there possition before, its not easy. But you have to call back customers...or they cant spend money with you.

Yep, phone and email is our weak link. It is a function of time in the day!

We are working hard on different and innovative solutions on that - more lines and even a new support center (maybe). I have brought in two guys to help with the phones, James (who has been here before) and Britch (we call him that because his name is also Brian, and Brian #1 is senior, so he keeps his name!). We also still have me and Brian as well, but we are under cars quite often.

As a side note, we are looking for a full time office manager in the Denver area. Bridget, who most of you know and love, has moved on to a job that pays much more than we could.

Keep the input coming!! It really helps.

Thanks,
Randy

Full time office manager... hmm....

Any concept of what this might pay? Debbie and I have been tossing around the idea of moving back to Colorado. The woman has skillz... happy to send a resume if you can ballpark a range of pay. She manages a law office right now... runs a good ship and keeps clients happy. I'd stick with mortgages myself.

PM me for details.
