ECU Upgrade Options?

I have a a 15% pulley, upgraded intake and exhaust. Nothing else as far as speed goes. I want to get some more power/smoothness/higher red-line by optimizing the MINI's brain to the max.

I dont care about any dealer warranty issues. I will never switch back to stock.

I prefer the map to be optimized for the mods that I have.

And I prefer it to be cheap!

Who are some tuners that I should turn to?

MTH is an option if you don't like piggybacks. But you lose the ability to really fine tune the settings for YOUR car.

If you want to really optimize settings, take a look at Unichip or apexi but they are piggybacks and more than few have voiced their concerns over piggyback systems.

There is no cost effective standalone for the MINI at the moment unless you're willing to do tons of work.

MTH seems to be your best bet!

MTH asks your for your current mods, and makes a file according to what you have on your car.

BTW, MTH can optimize your file to your car, if you can provide them a dyno sheet with air-fuel ratio and everything.

MTH has 2 different ECU software : MTH Standard and MTH Tuner

MTH "Standard" gives you a file that matches your mods, traction control mod, and increased redline

MTH Tuner gets everything a little bit further... More HP, a free 12-months updates free, ...

I've had both files and the MTH Tuner file really does make a great difference! It pulls harder and seems to push the whole "ECU tuning" to a new level!
