The red is a new intake manifold right? And I'm looking at charge pipes for a front mount intercooler. My guess is a turbo minus supercharger or a new supercharger, a centrifugal (sp?)... I'm gonna go with just a turbo though... So... what is it?

With only 21 lbs of boost, it's likely an all-turbo. Note a lack of SC and intercooler runners. The intake manifold looks new, and the plumbing to it definately is, too. FMIC or water-cooled? Last, nitrous to spool the TC?

Looks like a lot of work. Nice, though. Although, those welds....hmm.... Nothing can be PERFECT.

well that is clearly a wastegate so it has to be a turbo. Now rather or not a supercharger is still present is up to tuls telling us. Come, leaving us hanging is way not cool.

lol woohoo so i was right... i'm assuming its the same front mount featured in the 600hp drag car? hows the turbo lag? minimal? at what rpm is the turbo in full boost?

edit* what size injectors did you guys put on the car? uprated pistons?

LOL is right! Hell friggin no! But, I wonder...since the runners don't look "production," is this car home built or a one off? Even so, wouldn't custom bent charge bent tubes flow much much better?

Nice stuff, though, for sure. If you check over at Michigan Mini, Ryephile posted a neat turbo build up a few days ago:

http://michiganmini.com/modules.php?...er=asc&start=0

You'll like it- custom all the way.

Anyways, how is the power curve? Are you or are you not spooling it with nos? What turbo is being used? etc etc.

Well, let's see...similar style FMIC as the drag car yes...the lag is suprisingly minimal...peak boost is around 4k...550s for injectors...and the motor is stock....no pistons...not nothing...stock....stock stock stock.... exciting isn't it!

So Tuls what you're saying is that the stock pistons are good for 304 whp if the fuel delivery is on the money??

The 2nd picture is actually a BOV, the wastegate is on the exhaust side, if you follow the pipe up you can see the silicon coupler connecting the IC pipes.

I think its amazing how these coopers are holding up, I am new to the site and to coops, my last car was a DSM and I cant wait to start working on these. Only thing that gets me is how everyone has different impressions of how well the IC affect the vehicle, on the DSM the IC was one of the biggest power changes I had next to replacing the turbo.

The stock intercooler on the MCS's is pretty good at gettting rid of the heat without too much of a pressure loss. There's threads here on NAM about intercooler efficiencies. All in all, changing the type of intercooler will not gain you as much as you'd think it could. M7, Alta, and others are working diligently on making better performing intercooler, although there's not much out there yet.

They spent some big sponsorship coin on such serious research man; I could only expect they'd want some ROI via marketing or sales, no?
