Is it possible? To make the MCS supercharged and turbocharged? Any opinions from the audience? Anyone wanna try?

possible, yes. Easy, no. This is the same answer to almost an supercharged car. You are dealing with the exhaust side in a turbo and intake side with a supercharger.

Why put all that energy and time into adding so much more air, and work on ways to deliver more fuel? In most of the supercharger pulley mods, is shown that the pulley does not have the full affect due to the computer limiting fuel delivery to the massive quantities of air being sent into the intake after a certain point.
My theory is that with a completely unlocked ECU, supercharger pulley you would have enough HP to be happy. (the assumption is being given that the flow rate of the fuel injectors is sufficient enough to deliver the necessary goods, otherwise replace them too!)

ok, would it be beneficial to get larger fuel injectors when getting a pullry upgrade?

Actually, the MINI is running plenty rich even with the pulley. The key will be to balance the timing without tripping the knock sensor. If anything, you will need to go leaner with the fuel curves.

Turbocharging has been considered, and is under development by at least one company (not me).

I am still thinking the key to unlocking performance will be the right ECU and a better flowing head combined with a cam. I'm still working on it!

Randy, do you suspect (as I do) that they went with a supercharger because of space?

Turbocharging probably required too much plumbing for such a little car. In the end, the Supercharger provided more bang-for-buck and was easier to fit.

Just a though.

That, and the reliabilty of the Eaton. There is also not an issue with turbo lag, which helps the lower RPM band torque numbers.

Al at BMP is actually turbocharging "minime s" (jeff)'s car along with a whole host of other stuff. Talking to Al, he thinks that the base 'S' might plateau as far as power goes far sooner than a turbocharged 'S' would. However, it's also quite expensive. The impression that I got was that the turbo conversion would be more than a maxed out S with the standard S/C...
