Probably redundant at this point, but AutoWeek (Speed Channel) just ran a short on the JCW package for the MCS. Available in the US as an option or aftermarket from select dealers immediately after the New York show. 200HP.

I'm assuming that ordering the JCW on a new MINI as an option will be significantly less than retrofitting it.

I was just told about this modification this week by my Mini dealer. The cost for this was estimated at about 5 grand. Anyone heard any other prices?

I had read elsewhere that in the US that the JCW package will NOT be offered for the MC. Bummer...

I am wondering cost also, hoping that you can buy the items seperatly. I really only want the chip upgrade. The other items can wait. But if the cost is not that high I will do it all at once. I also heard that the dealer has to do the install for the warrenty to stay intact. We will have to wait and see.

My correspondence with JCW says otherwise. Look for info on thier website in mid-March was where we left off.

Damn, I wish they would have offered a package for the Cooper as well.

I thought it would have been obvious given what they had had in place for a while.

:???:

Wish I could delete my earlier post......
