My Cooper dynos higher than factory numbers - I have put a Rogue exhaust on. Not sure if the exhaust is making power of if BMW is under rating HP numbers, but it is definitely better than stock. I would also say after 12K miles, it feels faster.

Ade,

The highest numbers from independent dyno runs have proven the Magnacor wires, the Helix exhaust, and the Viper intake are the best combo - but you still aren't going to get monster gains - 132 sounds reasonable, considering most of the Coopers seem to make more than 115 stock.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

The Borla isn't too loud by anyone's opinion. The Helix sounds nice too, but it's a little throatier (again not toooo loud).

Give me a call if you have any other questions.

An other thing to think about is to make sure that the exhaust does not drone. It is just not fun to sit in a car on the highway and have it hit that magic rpm where it makes every mile feel like 20 looonnngg miles. I am sure that we all have spent some seat time in a VW that had this type of system. This is why we, like the factory system, use both muffler and a resonator. I have a small sound file for anyone who wants to here our cooper system. In the clip you will notice that the power steering pump in louder than the exhaust. Email me @ chris@helix13.com if you would like to hear the system. We have seen that the Coopers seems to be a little underrated, hp wise, by the factory. I am not sure that you will see 132hp w/ only an intake and exhaust. You will more that likely see an increase of 10hp or under.

I would second the drone issue. I know it doesn't happen all the time, but I can get a nice drone @ 3000 RPM's that can be interesting, to say the least! I have had the Rogue exhaust on my MC now since the beginning of October - close to 6000 miles. Since I don't always drive at 3000 RPM's, it's not a killer issue for me. Love the way it sounds when I stomp on it though.
