Drivetrain Nitrous = Motor running bad

Anyways.......hope you get it all figured out. And hopefuly its not to bad inside the motor.

Well thats the thing.....Fuel pressure could of dropped from the kit taking fuel away to mix with the NOS making a lean condition and havin this happen..

A consideration, Can you run a seperate injector and have that run off a seperate fuel map unit to add more fuel when you spray? This will limit you not to rely on the injectors for the car and have it add more fuel! So when your running without NO2 this will prevent from more fuel running when not needed and when you spray, it will add the extra fuel needed.

Nitrous is neither "cheap" nor "easy" to apply correctly
Modern cars have the top ring lands in the pistons moved way up to reduce crevice volume. This improves emissions but compromises the strength of the pistons. The bright side is that performance aftermarket pistons will allow you to run pretty much as much nitrous as you like.
Insufficient fuel will burn holes, while detonation results in cracked rings and lands. Over-fueling would probably just shut the engine off before it did any damage. After all, running the nitrous with an empty bottle produces only an RPM/power drop without damage, and that is the most over-fueled situation you could have.

big injectors might make the problem worse with a wet kit because you are dropping fuel pressure. With a wet kit the exact right amount of fuel is mixed with nitrous at the nozzel (with the use of jets) The only way to lean out the nitrous would be a drop in fuel pressure. That's why they make a fuel pressure cut-off switch. This is in a wet kit, not dry...Hope this clears is up a little. Keep us posted! -- Johan
Do you remember around what RPM you lost your cylinder? Thanks!

Nah....It held up thru the whole run with the delsol....After it was over he pulled up next to me to BS and then i noticed the car stumbling and that was it.
As you add more fuel...
you may need to get a bigger fuel pump. Then bigger lines, and a larger fuel rail and then a this and a that.... And on it goes! Where it stops, nobody knows!

Might as well throw in all 4 forged pistons while ur at it. Maybe some connecting rods.
I used the zex kit on my stock block mustang with a hundred 125 shot for two years now, i never had a problem " I was using race gas". The middle of last year till the end i ran the extra bottle setup to double the fun. I hate when people say dont use nos it will blow your motor up, this weekend i am putting that kit on my mini, only planning on running 50, 65 shot the most with mix gas.

i know....Theres alot of things i "should" of done but i got to excited to run the car and didnt think about the other things.
A mistake....

Right now my Mustang is down. I don't think there's anything wrong, but the voltage regulator for the dash is out, so I can't "see" anything happening in the motor. There have been some pretty sweet days out when it was hard to not drive it, because I just know there won't be a problem.....
