Universal Milltek hanger question

For those who have installed the Milltek exhaust with the bolt-on, universal hangers, did yours come with 4 of the bolt-on hangers (and you used them all) or did it come with 6 (and two were discarded)?

For the bonus round ....anyone have pictures of the bolt-on hangers with both pointing in the same direction?

you get 4 hangers that bolt onto the inside of the cans in the back. you will use 2 and have two left over. one set if for 02-03 car, the other set is for 04-06 cars. the two outside hangers (on the cans) are the same for all the years and are welded in place, same with the front hanger. hope that helps.

The latest Milltek comes with both outer and inner hangers to bolt on, as well as both '04 and '03 style inner hangers, for a total of six. Two are discarded.

The early Millteks only have inner bolt on hangers, with both early and late hangers (two sets) and you discard one set.

Hope that helps!

Milltek

I recently installed the Milltek on my 2002 MCS. It came with 4 bolt on brackets, two which were useless. I either got the wrong set or the wrong exhaust. Waited too long and can't return it so it is on. Also had a problem with the main pipe hitting the frame at the Y-split.

I posted pics at the thread on exhaust, decisions, decisions, decisions.

I'll get in at a custom exhaust shop in a week or so and have it all modified and brackets made to get it right. Love the sound, install was mostly easy, conflicts and missing brackets a pain.

That was my issue as well...I received 4 hangers and 2 were missing. My vendor was able to put me in touch with the right people who got the other two sent to me from Milltek at no additional charge. Might give that a try if the exhaust shop is going to charge much for the custom work.

Well, supposedly more hangers were coming but I hadn't received any yet. Today I finally got in at a local shop who did a little cutting and welding, heated and pulled a little, and welded up extensions for the outer hangers. All my vibration and droning went away and I'm a happy camper! I don't know if I was just used to the loudness created by the direct contact underneath or if the Milltek is actually quieter inside than the original system. Sounds great at all speeds and RPMs.
