hey everyone.. i just have a few questions about the alta short shifter and its adjustment options. It says its adjustable, but how exactly do you adjust it? Can you just adjust it at anytime after its installed from the drivers seat? Or do you have to go underneath again, take it out, adjust and re-install? I just figure that i would need a few tries at it to get my prefered position.
Also, if anyone has pictures of its lowest position (40% i think), that will kinda help in getting a visual on how much shorter it may be. thanks a lot!

 

You can access the adjusting screws by removing the shift boot ring. The main pivot ball can slide along the shift stem and is locked in place with 2 set screws. Lowering the shifter shortens the travel and vise versa. The shorter the throw the more force required to shift, so you just need to find your personal sweet spot.

oh yeah.. one more thing. The alta SS can come with the adapter to use the stock shift ****. if i decide on using the stock ****, and want to change it to an aftermarket one, will i have the parts to do so?.. or is there another adapter for that too?... thanks again.
