I've got a 04 JCW exhaust on our 04 MINI and want to swap it with the stocker on our new 06 when it gets here. Did the exhaust hangers or mounts change at all from 04 to 06?

 

It will fit if your 04 build was Jan, 04 or later.
It will not fit if you build was pre-1/04

That means that some 04s will and some 04s wont

 

However, isn't it the case that the rear hangers only have to be turned 90 degrees?

 

Dont know. I only know the fact that they wont fit. If you can make it happen some way ... thats great.

I know because I called JCW to get the exact facts on their exhaust.

 

I've got a 12/03 build car with the newer hanger style. I think the change happened before 1/04.

So another way of putting it would be that there was only one change to the exhaust hangers in the current MINI body style, and it happened in 04. Is that correct?

 

As far as I know, JCW told me directly the change to the car was made for Jan, 04 on. The reason I asked was because the JCW exhaust is different for the older cars than the newer cars I wanted to make sure it fit.
