Torque King?

Who has posted the most torque out of a "non twin charge" Mini S?

and more importantly what are you mods? and if you did any experiments with "taking this off and putting that on" etc. posting that would be great.

I have gone back to all my dyno sheets and the highest I can find uncorrected for DLL is 156.6. one says 160 but I threw it out because most are at 155ish

(what would a Mini be like if you could develop 200 whp and 200 ft lbs)

When I pulled 192whp last year, I think the torque was around 170-180 mark I'll have to check my records...

MINI One D

Too bad they don't bring the MINI One D here. I know a few Diesel tuners that could have that thing making more tork than a MSC JCW!

Why is a Cooper S thread in the Cooper (non S) area?

I am amazed at those high numbers I wish I knew what and why my torque numbers are so low..........maybe I am too free flowing? My highest uncorrected WHP is just over 200....I'm stumped suggestions are welcomed

What about the tuning? How does your A/F look like from the dyno?

My last Dynojet number with no fans running just getting in and getting out for a quick check was 188.7 with 155.7 at the wheels no dll correction.

like i said my best WHP was slightly over 200 but the toque number is still low.

I have one run from July where I did 197.7 with only 145.8 before a few mods like Alta IC, custom tune, crank pulley, intake manifold, alta cai and probably a few other things i can't think of. this is subtraction by addition more torque but less hp.

Actually 12.8 - 13 is still pretty safe as long as the EGTs show otherwise. With my 1.8 Miata, I ran this A/F ratio , w/ "not too hot" EGTs on a stock block boosting 9lbs of boost. Only reason I stopped at 9lbs, because Mazda decided to use "weak rods" on their blocks post 1997 MX5s... . I think my MCS should be able to handle this with no problem.

I'm sure our DMEs try to keep it near high 13s low 14s when cruising/idle to keep the CAT happy....

Three runs on the dyno, we'll go by the honor system since I do not have a scanner:

1. 181.4

2. 179.3

3. 185.5

Seriously d00d, I highly recommend against this. It's your car, but it's not worth what I believe is certain catastrophic failure to suck out that last 10 hp. REMEMBER, this is a SCed car and the intake temps are pretty high [prolly higher than you were running]. Think about it.

I can't get over these numbers....... are these corrected for Drive line loss?

I run my A/F real close to 12 ....even if I was to lean out for more ft. lb. that would not get me near your numbers......what are your mods?
